How/Why did you chose physical therapy? My passion for Physical therapy has been an ongoing journey.  As a college athlete, enduring challenges and injuries within my sport gave me the ability to tap into the mind of the motivated yet injured individual.  Upon graduation & immediately working with young athletes in an orthopedic settings was exhilarating and challenging.  My personal experiences with pregnancy, child-birth, post-partum recovery, & return to fitness allowed me to understand the changes a woman’s body endures.  Recognizing the lack of appropriate care when women need it the most, led to specializing in women’s health and pelvic floor therapy.  

As a physical therapist what keeps you doing what you do? I have found genuine purpose through physical therapy as my career.  Empowering others to live a full and functional life despite their obstacles is the ultimate reward.  I’m incredibly grateful to work as a facilitator in others healing.  I’ll never lose my curiosity of the human body, it’s incredible design & ability to overcome!  

What do you do outside your work? Outside of Physical therapy, I thrive while spending time with my family.  Watching my children learn and grow into themselves is enlightening and entertaining!  Motherhood has been the most intense mental, emotional and physical marathon I’ve ever ran; a race that never ends, but is worth every step!  I enjoy all forms of  fitness including CrossFit,  basketball, yoga, running, hiking and all things in between.
