I chose physical therapy because  I love working directly with my patients to assist each patient to accomplish their own goals and to improve the quality of life that comes with accomplishment of these goals.
What keeps you doing what you do? I love caring for my patients and helping them achieve their goals to improve their health and to allow them to function at a much higher level without pain and dysfunction.  I firmly believe the body has an incredible ability to heal and it is very rewarding to assist the patient and their body in this direction.  I love to educate my patients so that they will take a very active role in assisting their body to heal and to allow them to feel a sense of accomplishment in that.
What do you do outside your work? When I am not working I love spending time with my family!  I am blessed with a wonderful husband, four children, and 5 grandchildren.  My husband and I love to rescue dogs and currently we have three that are very special and fill our lives with lots of joy and love.  I also love to attend church, listen to beautiful music, to walk my dogs, and to spend a day at the beach listening to the ocean waves and reading my favorite books.
